A man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after police say he struck an IMPD officer. On the night of February 7, 2019, an IMPD officer was traveling north on Thursday night on North Raceway Road, near West Washington Street in his marked police vehicle, when he was struck by another vehicle after it crossed the center line.  The police officer only suffered minor injuries and was transported to Methodist Hospital for treatment.  The driver of the vehicle that struck the police officer had been charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

By now, everyone has been told not to drive while under the influence of alcohol.   However, there are still many accidents on the road each year that are the result of drunk driving.  If you or someone you know has had an injury or died through no fault of their own, as a result of a motor vehicle collision caused by the drunk driving of another, please contact the experienced legal team at Schiller Law Offices at 888-578-3100 or at IndyInjured.com to learn more about your potential right to compensation.
