One Dead After Two-Vehicle Collision on 1-70.

Blog

A two-vehicle collision, which resulted in the death of one the drivers, occurred on the westbound side of I-70 just after Post Road, between German Church and Mitthoeffer Roads, at 7:23 P.M. on Saturday, September 21st.  The Indiana State Police are investigating the collision and believe that the vehicle driven by the deceased swerved into the path of another vehicle, which caused a collision with heavy damage to both involved vehicles.  According to the investigation, the deceased driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and the second driver involved in the collision was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The left two lanes of I-70 were temporarily closed while the crash was investigated and the wreckage removed, and police believed that the time alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.

Driving at night is already dangerous because of the lack of light and very little traffic.  Nighttime is also when some feel it is okay to drive while buzzed, even while at a risk to their own safety.  If you or someone you know has been injured or killed by the negligence of a driver who struck another vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol, please contact the experienced legal team at Schiller Law Offices at 888-578-3100 or at IndyInjured.com to learn more about your potential right to compensation.
