On the morning of January 9, 2020, a collision occurred on State Road 120 in Steuben County, Indiana.  According to the Indiana State Police, both collisions may have been caused by fatigue and inattention while driving.  The first collision was head-on and involved Ford Explorer that while traveling westbound on State Road 120 crossed left of center and into the path of an oncoming 2019 Freightliner tractor-trailer.  The collision resulted in both vehicles being heavily damaged.  The driver of Ford Explorer was not seriously injured in the collision while the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.  The driver of the Ford Explorer was believed to have been fatigued when he drove left of center, striking the tractor-trailer.  The Indiana State Police remind all drivers to be well-rested and pay attention while driving, as this collision was avoidable.

Any time of the year, someone driving can become fatigued can place other vehicles on the road in danger.  And not every driver will realize that they need to pull off the road if they are feeling fatigued to avoid causing a collision.  If you or someone you know has been injured or killed by the negligence of another motorist driving while fatigued, please contact the experienced legal team at Schiller Law Offices at 888-578-3100 or at IndyInjured.com to learn more about your potential right to compensation.
