Two Indianapolis women who were killed in a car crash on April 22, 2014, highlights the dangers of faulty vehicle maintenance. Mika J. Baird, 30, of Indianapolis was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer with Lesley Martinez as a passenger.  The two women were headed east on 96th Street approaching Zionsville Road when the right rear wheel of the Explorer came off, according to the Zionsville Police Department.  Baird lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and collided with a Geo Prism driven by 32 year-old Laura Wilmot who was not injured while finally coming to rest on the roof of her car. The crash, which remains under investigation by the Zionsville Police Department brings to light the danger of driving an unsafe vehicle.
