A motorcyclist has died after a collision with another vehicle in New Albany on Saturday afternoon. The New Albany Police Department confirmed that first responders were sent to the collision site on Corydon Pike near Eagle Lane. The collision was between a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2020 Kia Soul, and according to the investigation, they believe that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the collision. The motorcycle driver was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital for his injuries where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Kia Soul was sent to Baptist Health Floyd with minor injuries. The police are still investigating the collision.
