A collision involving a vehicle going the wrong way on I-70 on the morning of Saturday, February 13, resulted in a fatal collision. According to the police, a state trooper had stopped to investigate a Hyundai SUV that had pulled off the road’s shoulder and was facing the wrong way on I-70. When the trooper approached the vehicle, the driver drove forward, going eastbound in the westbound lane, despite the trooper commanding him to stop. The preliminary investigation into the collision have led the officers to believe that alcohol could have been a factor in the driver’s behavior.
