Two teens riding a moped were struck by a car at a southside intersection near Garfield Park. Police say that just after midnight the teens were southbound on Shelby when they ran a red light at the Southern Avenue intersection, and were struck by a westbound car. Both teens were thrown from the moped. Fortunately, neither teen has suffered fatal injuries. The car driver was not injured.
