Hit and Run Pedestrian Crash

On July 25, 2014, a young man from Indianapolis was killed in a hit and run crash. The young man was operating his scooter with a back seat passenger, when he attempted to cross high school road and went directly into the path of a 1996 Ford Taurus / Mercury Sable. The operator of the scooter was rushed to Eskenazi Hospital but later died from his injuries. The passenger of the scooter was not seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the 1996 Ford Taurus / Mercury Sable did not stop after the collision and was noted by witnesses to be traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
