Police say two officers were investigating an armed robbery in Avon when they got a call about another armed robbery in progress in Brownsburg. The suspects matched the same description. Officer Tom Owen’s K-9 unit vehicle crashed into a woman’s car on North State Road 267 and County Road 151 North. The officer was responding to an emergency call. The woman had to be airlifted to Methodist Hospital at IU Health due to serious injuries. A passenger riding in her car suffered from minor bodily injuries.
