J. A, , was driving north about 5 miles south of the Demotte exit about 11:30 p.m. when she lost control of her Lincoln on the icy road. She was taken to J. C. Hospital in Rensselaer, where she was pronounced dead of massive head injuries. Three passengers were transported to Hospital with minor injuries. No one in the car was wearing a seat belt, police said.
